1. Technology overview
ScarabTECH is a startup company that develops plastic-to-energy machines for plastic waste. It builds cost-effective pyrolysis machines that turn the plastic problem into a green energy solution that turns waste plastic into fuel. In 2018, Jeffrey Barbee established the company in Glenwood Springs, Colorado.
2. Highlighted features & specifications
Beetles
Machines that convert plastic waste into energy, capable of processing up to 800kg of plastic per day into electricity, fuels, and heat.
Mobile Pyrolysis System
A compact, transportable system that heats plastic in a sealed container to distill it back into fuel, without burning the plastic.
Carbon Neutral Energy Production
Ensures all CO2 produced from the machine operation or fuel combustion is accounted for and neutralized, supporting carbon-neutral energy goals.
Off-site Monitoring and Service
Beetles are monitored remotely for efficiency and safety, with service plans for maintenance and upgrades.
Use-Adapted Operations
Beetles can operate in various environments including off-grid locations, ships, or fixed recycling settings, adaptable to client needs.
