1. Technology overview
Regnology is a regulatory, risk and supervisory technology vendor headquartered in Frankfurt, Germany. It was carved out of BearingPoint by Nordic Capital at the end of 2020, merged with Ireland’s Vizor Software in June 2021 and took the Regnology name in October 2021. It serves both ends of the reporting chain: regulated institutions that must file prudential, statistical and tax returns, and the supervisors that collect and validate them.
Solutions for regulated entities include Reporting Hub, Risk Hub, Finance Hub, Transaction Reporting, Tax Hub and Insurance Hub; regulators use Supervisory Hub, Fusion Statistics and AEOI. These run on the Ascend platform, with Rcloud for managed delivery, Rconnect for data connectivity and the Regnology Granular Data Model as the common data layer. On 5 May 2026 Regnology completed its acquisition of Moody’s Regulatory Reporting and ALM business, adding Basel III, IFRS 9 impairment, asset and liability management and Solvency II coverage. The group reports more than 2,500 staff, of whom over 1,000 are regulatory, risk and service specialists, and serves over 7,000 financial institutions and around 50 regulators.
