1. Technology overview
Graphenea is a graphene materials company founded in 2010 and headquartered in San Sebastian, Spain, with a second site in Cambridge, Massachusetts, set up to move graphene out of the laboratory and into commercial semiconductor and photonics manufacturing by supplying certified, reproducible graphene at wafer scale.
The company grows graphene by chemical vapor deposition and transfers it onto silicon, quartz, or flexible substrates, and also fabricates graphene field-effect-transistor (GFET) biosensor chips and graphene oxide dispersions through its GFAB foundry service; customers in research institutes and technology companies across more than 60 countries use these materials for sensors, electronics prototyping, and coatings.
2. Highlighted features & specifications
1. CVD graphene film: monolayer and multilayer graphene grown by chemical vapor deposition on copper.
2. Wafer transfer: graphene transferred onto SiO2/Si, quartz, or flexible carrier substrates.
3. GFET chips: graphene field-effect-transistor biosensor chips for research and diagnostics.
4. Graphene oxide: dispersions and powders for composite and coating formulation work.
5. GFAB foundry service: custom graphene device fabrication for external customers.
6. Global reach: materials and services delivered to customers in over 60 countries.
