Viettel High Tech

Viettel High Tech has built an in-house chip design team since 2017, delivering its first chip products for 5G telecom infrastructure, dual-use security/civilian applications, and AIoT (edge AI for IoT devices), and has since been tasked with leading Vietnam’s first domestic semiconductor fabrication plant project. This spans the full value chain from chip design to eventual local fabrication capability.

As part of Vietnam’s national semiconductor strategy targeting 100,000 industry professionals by 2040, Viettel High Tech represents the state-linked telecom sector’s parallel track to FPT’s chip efforts, focused specifically on telecom and dual-use defense-civilian applications.
