1. Technology overview
Actility is a French Internet of Things company founded in 2010 and headquartered in Paris. One of the original contributors to the LoRaWAN specification, it built its business around low-power wide-area network (LPWAN) connectivity for industrial and smart-city applications, and in January 2026 was acquired by Sweden’s Netmore Group while continuing to operate under the Actility brand.
Its ThingPark platform is a multi-technology, hardware-agnostic LPWAN network server that manages LoRaWAN, NB-IoT and LTE-M connections, device activation, firmware updates and roaming across networks. Actility licenses ThingPark to mobile network operators, system integrators and enterprises, supporting deployments in more than 50 countries.
