1. Technology overview
Polymerize is a materials informatics company founded in 2020 and headquartered in Singapore, with offices in Japan, South Korea, China and Germany. It serves R&D teams working on polymers, specialty chemicals, adhesives and advanced materials, where experimental data sits scattered across spreadsheets and lab notebooks and formulation development still depends largely on trial and error.
The platform has three products. Polymerize Connect is a data backbone that centralises experiments and formulations; Polymerize Labs provides more than 35 domain-guided models that predict material properties and optimise formulations; Polymerize One is a full-service option pairing the AI with prototyping networks. In December 2025 the company released Pixa, a conversational AI agent for materials R&D. More than 500 R&D teams across 12 industries use the platform, with named users including REHAU, Meraxis, Bando, Maxell and Samyang.
