1. Technology overview
Zunder is an ultra-fast EV charging network operator founded in 2017 by Daniel Perez and Lorenzo Antolin in Palencia, Spain. The company was created to remove range anxiety on Spanish and southern European highways by building publicly accessible fast-charging infrastructure for electric vehicle drivers, fleets and businesses.
Zunder designs, owns and operates charging stations with power outputs up to 400 kW, capable of charging a vehicle to 80 percent in about 17 minutes, and drivers pay through the Zunder app, an eZCard RFID tag, Plug&Charge or contactless card without registration. Beyond its own stations, Zunder offers a SaaS platform that lets fleet operators, rental companies, retail sites and public administrations deploy and manage their own branded charging networks, with roaming interoperability through partners such as Gireve extending access across the wider European network.
