1. Technology overview
Fizyr is a Dutch computer-vision company based in Delft, founded in 2014 as a Delft University of Technology spin-off named Delft Robotics before rebranding to Fizyr in 2017. It targets logistics operators and robot integrators whose robotic picking and sorting cells struggle with the unpredictable mix of parcel shapes, packaging and orientations found in real warehouses.
Its product, Fizyr OS, is vision software that plugs into existing robot arms and grippers, processing camera frames in under 20 milliseconds to detect, classify and locate items for tasks such as parcel induction, depalletizing, trailer unloading and food-processing quality checks. The system keeps learning from production data to improve pick accuracy and is deployed by systems integrators building automation cells for logistics and food customers.
2. Highlighted features & specifications
1. Sub-20ms vision processing: fast enough for real-time robot picking decisions.
2. 3D context awareness: distinguishes overlapping or irregularly placed items in a bin or on a belt.
3. Continuous learning: accuracy improves over time from production data, reported up to 99%.
4. Multi-application coverage: supports parcel induction, depalletizing, trailer unloading and food processing.
5. Robot-agnostic integration: plugs into robot arms and grippers already selected by the integrator.
6. Integrator-led deployment: sold through systems integrators building automation cells for end customers.
