1. Technology overview
Trustwell is a US food industry software provider based in Salem, Oregon, formed in October 2022 when nutrition-labeling company ESHA Research merged with supply-chain traceability company FoodLogiQ, and adopted the Trustwell name in February 2023 with backing from The Riverside Company; it addresses the gap between food product development and post-market safety compliance.
The platform combines the Genesis module for recipe formulation, nutrition-fact labeling and regulatory review with FoodLogiQ modules for supplier compliance, quality-incident management, FSMA 204 traceability and recall coordination, plus an AI assistant called AskReg for regulatory lookups; customers include Whole Foods, McDonald’s, Chipotle, Tyson and Kellogg’s among more than 2,500 food and beverage brands.
