1. Technology overview
Electreon is a wireless EV charging company founded in 2013 and headquartered in Beit Yanai, Israel. It sells in-road and in-ground inductive charging infrastructure to transit agencies, fleet operators and road authorities that need to charge buses and trucks without long dwell times at plug-in stations.
Coils embedded under the road or a depot surface transfer power to a receiver on the vehicle while it drives, waits or boards passengers, and the Flow cloud platform monitors energy delivery and system health. Deployments include a bus depot project in Tel Aviv, a 1.5-kilometer wireless highway segment on the French A10, and a UPS depot pilot in Detroit with Xos electric stepvans.
