1. Technology overview
Nexperia is a semiconductor manufacturer headquartered in Nijmegen, the Netherlands, formed in 2017 when NXP Semiconductors divested its Standard Products division, with factories tracing back to a Philips plant opened in Nijmegen in 1953. It supplies the essential discrete and small-signal components other electronics makers need to complete their circuit designs.
The company manufactures diodes, bipolar transistors, ESD protection devices, MOSFETs, GaN FETs, silicon carbide power devices and analog/logic ICs across five owned front-end and back-end factories. Its components are sold to automotive, industrial, computing, consumer and mobile electronics manufacturers that build them into circuit boards and modules.
2. Highlighted features & specifications
1. Discrete semiconductors: diodes, bipolar transistors and ESD/TVS protection devices for circuit protection.
2. Power devices: MOSFETs, GaN FETs and silicon carbide (SiC) transistors for power conversion.
3. Analog and logic ICs: switches, logic gates and interface components for signal handling.
4. Owned manufacturing: five front-end and back-end factories supporting high-volume supply.
5. Automotive-qualified lines: components rated for automotive and industrial reliability requirements.
6. Global scale: more than 800 new products introduced annually across its component portfolio.
