1. Technology overview
Finan is a Vietnamese fintech founded in 2021 by brothers Bui Hai Long and Bui Hai Nam, headquartered in Thu Duc, Ho Chi Minh City. It builds financial operating tools for small and medium enterprises and micro-merchants, a segment that in Vietnam typically runs on spreadsheets and personal bank accounts.
The product family spans SoBanHang, a mobile sales and inventory app used by more than 800,000 business owners; FinanBook, which centralises cash flow, records income and expenses, reconciles bank statements automatically, issues invoices and sends debt reminders; FinanOne, an AI-assisted financial platform including automated processing of accounting documents; and Finan OpenAPI for partner integration. On 5 August 2026 Finan launched VPBiz FinanONE Mastercard together with VPBank and Mastercard — a virtual corporate debit card issued entirely online, with sub-cards and spending limits per department, employee or project, and real-time transaction monitoring.
