1. Technology overview
MaxAB is a B2B e-commerce and fintech company founded in 2018 and headquartered in Cairo, Egypt. It was built to connect small independent grocery retailers directly with manufacturers, distributors, and local wholesalers, replacing fragmented offline supply chains across Egypt, Morocco, and Kenya.
Retailers order through a mobile app that lists more than 9,000 food, beverage, and non-food products from suppliers on the platform, with delivery handled by MaxAB’s own logistics network. The app also gives retailers access to point-of-sale devices and financial services such as payments and financing, built on top of the same ordering platform.
