Qualitas High-Speed Interface IP (PCIe 6.0, UCIe, MIPI)

Qualitas Semiconductor is a South Korean interconnect IP company established in 2017, headquartered in Seongnam, Gyeonggi-do, and listed on KOSDAQ in 2023, with a U.S. subsidiary in San Jose and an office in Shanghai. It supplies silicon-proven high-speed interface IP so chip designers do not have to develop complex SerDes and PHY blocks in-house.

Its portfolio covers PCIe 6.0/5.0 subsystems at 64 GT/s PAM4 and PCIe 4.0, UCIe die-to-die PHY with a UCIe 2.0 subsystem, MIPI C/D-PHY with CSI-2 receive and DSI-2 transmit controllers, 100G/50G/20G SerDes PHY, Ethernet, SLVS-EC and USB SuperSpeed+ PHY IP. MIPI subsystem IP is offered from 28 nm down to 2 nm and PCIe on 4 to 8 nm nodes. Design services cover integration, SI/PI analysis, synthesis and STA, layout, ATE and debug for AI, HPC, data centre, automotive and edge device customers.

A Vietnamese design house building an automotive camera SoC can license the ASIL B MIPI subsystem to shorten safety certification. A local AI chip startup can integrate PCIe 6.0 and UCIe IP for an accelerator card. A design services firm can use Qualitas support for SI/PI and ATE bring-up on customer projects.

Pre-verified subsystems combining PHY and controller reduce integration risk for SoC teams. The MIPI D-PHY and CSI-2 receive subsystem holds ISO 26262 ASIL B certification, with FMEDA and safety manual deliverables for automotive projects. IP is silicon-proven and in volume production on advanced nodes. One vendor covers camera, display, PCIe, UCIe and SerDes interfaces.

AI and automotive chips need faster interfaces such as PCIe 6.0 and UCIe for chiplets, and camera-heavy ADAS systems need safety-certified MIPI IP. Most design teams license interface IP rather than develop it. Vietnam's growing chip design companies, many working on automotive and IoT SoCs for Korean and Japanese customers, are natural buyers of licensable interface IP.
