1. Technology overview
Agrosmart is an agricultural technology company founded in 2014 in Campinas, Brazil, that began as a homemade irrigation sensor built by three engineers and grew into a climate and farm-management platform for Latin American agribusiness. It was created to give growers and the companies that finance or buy from them a shared, data-based view of climate risk, water use, and crop performance.
The platform combines soil and climate sensors with satellite data across the BoosterAGRO and BoosterPRO modules for irrigation and climate monitoring, plus an ESG module for sustainability reporting and a Nexus module for corporate risk and credit scoring. Customers include individual farmers, agronomic consultants, cooperatives, and agribusiness and food-chain companies across nine countries in Latin America.
