1. Technology overview
COVR Global is an insurtech launched in 2024 with its headquarters at 20 Wenlock Road, London, and offices in Madrid, Melbourne, Tokyo and San Jose. It builds an AI decision engine that helps insurers settle claims faster and with consistent, explainable outcomes.
The platform organises a claim into stages: Notify, Decide, Repair & Settle, Pay and Subrogation, with Information Capture always on. Insurers pick from 12 modules such as FNOL, Policy Coverage, Liability, Supplier Allocation, Contents Valuation and Subrogation Recoveries. A decision trace shows the reasoning and evidence, for example the policy wording and site photos, behind each decision.
2. Highlighted features & specifications
- FNOL and Information Capture: gathers claim information at notification and throughout the claim.
- Policy Coverage and Liability: decides coverage and liability against policy wording.
- Supplier Allocation: routes repairs and work to suppliers.
- Repair & Settle: scope of works, competitive quoting and quote or invoice validation.
- Subrogation: defence and recoveries modules.
- Decision trace: shows each step's reasoning and evidence.
3. Potential application
A Vietnamese non-life insurer can automate coverage checks for motor and property claims. A property insurer can validate repair quotes and allocate suppliers. A reinsurer-backed program can use the decision trace for audit and subrogation recovery.
4. Benefits
The vendor states 10-20% savings on indemnity, drawn from live deployments, with ranges varying by module mix. Decisions are made in real time and each one is explainable through a decision trace. Insurers can start with one module and add others.
5. Market trends & opportunities
Property and general insurers are applying AI to claims to cut indemnity leakage and settlement time. Vietnamese non-life insurers handle growing motor and property claims volumes, which creates demand for explainable, modular claims decisioning that overlays existing core systems.
