1. Technology overview
Croptracker is a Canadian agricultural technology company founded in 2006 in Ontario, providing a cloud-based record-keeping and traceability platform for fruit and vegetable growers, packhouses and grower cooperatives. It grew out of the record-keeping needs of Ontario apple growers and now serves customers in 41 countries.
The platform lets field staff log spraying, labor, harvest and irrigation activity from mobile devices, then turns the records into more than 50 report types covering compliance, food-safety traceability and orchard or field management. Packhouses and associations use the same data to trace produce lots back to the field and manage crews and schedules across multiple sites.
