1. Technology overview
DB HiTek is a semiconductor foundry founded in 1997 and headquartered in Bucheon, South Korea, formed from the former Dongbu Electronics and renamed after Dongbu Group became DB Group in 2017. It manufactures chips for fabless customers that need specialty analog, power and sensor processes rather than the leading-edge digital nodes offered by the largest foundries.
The company runs process technologies from 0.35 to 0.09 micron, covering BCDMOS, analog CMOS, CMOS image sensors, mixed-signal/RF, super-junction MOSFET, silicon carbide and gallium nitride, and offers its YourFab customer-fabrication program alongside multi-project wafer shuttle runs for early prototyping. Its customers span automotive, machine vision, robotics and medical device makers that need power management, image sensor or compound-semiconductor chips manufactured through its Asia, Americas and Europe support network.
