1. Technology overview
Dolphin Semiconductor is a fabless mixed-signal semiconductor IP company based in Meylan, France, with a secondary office in St-Laurent, Quebec. Established in November 2024 when Jolt Capital acquired Dolphin Design’s mixed-signal IP business, the company continues over three decades of IP development, licensing silicon-proven building blocks that chip designers integrate into their own system-on-chip products.
The IP portfolio covers power management blocks (DC/DC converters, LDO regulators, oscillators, voltage monitors, sensors), audio IP (ADCs, DACs, PDM-to-PCM converters, voice activity detection, neuromorphic audio processing), power metering IP and foundation IP. Customers include chipmakers serving smartphones, cameras, wireless speakers, true wireless earbuds, IoT devices, industrial and automotive systems.
