Ecotrace Solutions

Ecotrace Solutions is a traceability technology company founded in 2016 and headquartered in Sao Paulo, Brazil, built by entrepreneurs with a background in agribusiness. It targets the lack of verifiable, farm-to-retail records in Brazilian livestock supply chains, where buyers and regulators need proof of origin, animal welfare and environmental compliance behind each batch of meat.

The platform combines computer vision and AI to grade cattle and poultry carcasses, blockchain to record each transaction immutably, and a Geocheck analytics module to screen supplying farms for deforestation and land-use violations, assigning a QR code that carries this history through the supply chain. It integrates with enterprise systems such as SAP, Totvs and Linx, and serves beef and poultry processors, exporters, leather manufacturers and agricultural cooperatives; the platform was co-developed with meatpacker JBS.

1. Carcass grading AI: Uses computer vision to classify cattle and poultry carcasses automatically at the processing line.

2. Blockchain ledger: Records every transaction in the supply chain on an immutable ledger from farm to retail.

3. Geocheck deforestation screening: Flags supplying farms located in deforested or environmentally restricted areas.
