1. Technology overview
Ecozen is an agri-tech company founded in 2010 and headquartered in Pune, India, that builds solar-powered cooling and pumping equipment for smallholder and commercial farmers. It was started to cut post-harvest losses and diesel dependence in India’s cold chain and irrigation systems.
Its Ecofrost solar cold-storage units use proprietary Ice Core Technology to keep produce fresh off-grid, while the Ecotron smart controller pairs with existing pumps for solar-powered irrigation, and a hybrid Solar AC line adds battery-backed cooling for homes and small businesses. Ecozen sells directly and through agribusiness and cooperative partners across India.
