1. Technology overview
ezbob is a London-based lending technology vendor founded in 2011. It started as a direct online small business lender, then shifted from 2017 to selling its technology to financial institutions. It now supplies a digital orchestration platform that banks use to launch and run SME and commercial credit products without rebuilding their core systems.
The platform separates the customer journey, data orchestration and risk rules, so a lender can configure onboarding, KYB, affordability checks and credit policy per product across term loans, credit lines, credit cards and revenue-based lending. It is deployed alongside existing infrastructure, and an integration with Thought Machine Vault Core lets a bank issue an automated credit decision within minutes and release funds the same day. ezbob supplied the technology behind NatWest’s Esme Loans, signed Metro Bank to build an SME lending platform, and counts Intesa Sanpaolo, Santander and PayPal among its clients.
