1. Technology overview
Finkargo is a trade-finance platform founded in 2021 in Bogota, Colombia, by Santiago Molina, Andres Ferrer, and Tomas Shuk. It helps small and mid-sized importers in Latin America finance and manage international purchases, addressing the working-capital gap that suppliers’ upfront payment terms create for growing importers.
The platform is organized into modules: Paga advances payments to suppliers, Analiza provides market and pricing intelligence, Verifica screens suppliers, and Protege offers warehouse-to-warehouse trade insurance, delivered alongside rotating credit lines of up to 2.7 million dollars with 30-to-150-day terms. Finkargo reports serving more than 570 Colombian importers and has expanded operations into Mexico.
