FPT Semiconductor

FPT Semiconductor is the chip design subsidiary of FPT Software, established in Hanoi, Vietnam in September 2022 under the slogan “Chip Made in Vietnam, Made by FPT.” The company designs integrated circuits domestically while manufacturing is outsourced to fabrication partners in South Korea and Taiwan, aiming to build a Vietnamese chip design capability for embedded and IoT applications.

The product portfolio covers power management ICs (LDO regulators, buck/boost converters, PMICs), control ICs (LED drivers, load switches, motor drivers), wide-bandgap power devices (SiC MOSFETs, SiC Schottky diodes, GaN devices) and operational amplifiers. Target applications include home appliances, personal electronic devices, smart home devices, personal medical devices and automotive systems, with customers reached through partners in Japan, South Korea and Taiwan.

1. Power Management ICs: LDO regulators, buck/boost converters and PMICs for embedded power design.

2. Wide-bandgap devices: SiC MOSFETs, SiC Schottky diodes and GaN devices for high-efficiency power stages.

3. Control ICs: LED drivers, load switches and motor drivers for consumer and appliance systems.

4. Fabless model: chips designed in Vietnam, fabricated through partners in South Korea and Taiwan.

5. Target sectors: home appliances, smart home devices, personal medical devices and automotive.

6. International R&D ties: 2026 collaborations with Gachon University (Korea) and Restar Electronics (Singapore).
