1. Technology overview
M2P Fintech is an Indian embedded finance infrastructure company founded in 2014 by Madhusudanan R, Muthukumar A and Prabhu R, headquartered in Chennai. It positions itself as the technology layer between banks and the consumer platforms that want to issue cards, open accounts or lend, so a retailer, telco or marketplace can launch a financial product without building card processing or core banking itself.
The stack spans card issuing and processing for prepaid, debit and credit programmes; core banking and neobanking; a full lending lifecycle from origination and underwriting through servicing and collections, including BNPL and microfinance; merchant acquiring, UPI and cross-border payments; and value-added modules for KYC automation, reconciliation, fraud detection and AML screening. The company reports work with more than 200 banks, 300 lenders and 800 fintechs across over 30 countries including India, the Philippines and the UAE, and holds PCI DSS, ISO 27001 and ISO 22301 certifications. It raised a US$101.7 million Series D in September 2024 led by Helios Investment Partners.
