1. Technology overview
Taqtile, Inc. was founded in Seattle in 2011 and was one of Microsoft's earliest mixed reality enterprise partners. It helps frontline teams in manufacturing, aerospace, energy, transportation and defense capture the know-how of experienced workers before they retire or move on, and turn it into consistent, verifiable execution and faster onboarding.
The Manifest platform follows a Create, Guide, Verify flow. The free Manifest Maker app uses AI to turn videos, PDFs and manuals into step-by-step procedures, and syncs with Manifest. Workers follow procedures tied to each asset on tablets, phones, browsers or AR/MR headsets such as Apple Vision Pro, with spatially anchored annotations, leader lines, recorded hand motions and live remote expert support. Each job captures photos, measurements and pass/fail results as audit-ready records. Customers include British Airways, Fastenal, Google, Genentech, Paks Nuclear Power Plant and the U.S. Army and Air Force.
2. Highlighted features & specifications
- Manifest Maker: a free AI app converts videos, PDFs and manuals into step-by-step digital procedures with cloud sync.
- Step-by-step execution: procedures are tied to assets, with required steps, branching logic and automatic sub-procedures.
- Spatial visual guidance: leader lines, annotations and recorded hand motions are anchored to real equipment on tablets or AR/MR headsets.
- Remote expert support: live see-what-I-see video with two-way audio and annotation at any step.
- Verify: photos, videos, measurements, approvals and pass/fail results are captured as structured job data.
- Flexible deployment: cloud, hybrid, on-premise (Docker) or edge, with open APIs, role-based access and audit history.
3. Potential application
- Aircraft maintenance organisations in Vietnam guiding technicians through inspections with verified proof of each step.
- Electronics and automotive plants onboarding operators with AR work instructions on the assembly line.
- Power plants and utilities standardising maintenance and safety procedures with remote expert support.
4. Benefits
- Shorter training: customers report training cut from about three weeks to three days, and an 80% reduction in training time in manufacturing.
- Fewer mistakes: 53% fewer errors and work discrepancies; defense users were 43% more likely to install parts correctly.
- Less downtime: a reported 66% reduction in operational downtime and 33% faster maintenance procedures.
- Audit-ready proof: every guided job produces timestamped evidence for quality and compliance.
5. Market trends & opportunities
Retirements of experienced technicians and high frontline turnover are pushing manufacturers, utilities and airlines to capture tacit knowledge in digital work instructions. AI now reduces the effort of authoring procedures, while AR headsets and tablets bring guidance to the point of work. In Vietnam, expanding electronics, aviation maintenance and energy operations need standardised procedures and traceable records to meet customer and regulatory audits.
6. Other information
