NANUM Nanotecnologia

NANUM Nanotecnologia was founded in 2005 out of a nanotechnology laboratory at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) in Brazil and became NANUM Nanotecnologia S.A. in 2008. The company operates its plant in Lagoa Santa, Minas Gerais, with the goal of moving nanoparticle synthesis research into industrial-scale production for Brazil’s fine chemicals sector.

Its product portfolio includes metal nanoparticles, nanostructured metal oxides such as magnetic ferrites, graphene oxides, carbon nanostructures, and specialty inks including MICR magnetic ink for secure document printing. The company offers custom nanoparticle synthesis and surface functionalization, holds ISO 9001:2015 certification, opened a new 20,000 square meter plant in 2024 and a United States branch in 2025.
