1. Technology overview
Paper.id, operated by PT Pakar Digital Global, is an Indonesian B2B invoicing and payments platform founded in 2016 in Jakarta by Yosia Sugialam and Jeremy Limman. Most Indonesian SMEs invoice in Excel or on paper, so their trade history leaves no verifiable trail a bank can price credit against. Paper.id digitises that trail at the point of invoice creation and links it to settlement.
The platform covers online invoicing with purchase orders and receipts, PaperPay In for collections and PaperPay Out for supplier payments, PaperXB for cross border transfers, corporate and virtual cards including Paper Horizon, expense management and an enterprise tier with AI automation. Because invoice issuance and payment settlement sit in one system, receivable ageing and payment behaviour are observable, which underpins early payment programmes marketed as #DibayarLebihCepat and B2B deferred payment terms extended through licensed partners. The platform states it serves over 700,000 businesses, is licensed by Bank Indonesia and supervised by OJK, and works with BCA, Mandiri, BRI, BNI and UOB and with Visa, Mastercard, JCB and American Express. Its Series B was backed by Square Peg, Argor Capital Management and SMBC Asia Rising Fund.
