1. Technology overview
Quantexa is a London-based data and analytics software company founded in 2016 by Vishal Marria. Its Decision Intelligence platform resolves fragmented internal and external records into single entities and maps the relationships between them, so that banks can see the network behind a customer or a payment rather than judging each alert in isolation.
The platform is built from data ingestion, entity resolution and graph analytics layers, on which financial crime applications run: AML contextual monitoring and investigation, KYC and customer intelligence, and fraud detection. Q Assist and the Agent Gateway add AI assistance to investigations, and Quantexa Cloud AML packages the stack for mid-size and community banks. Customers named publicly include HSBC, Standard Chartered, BNY Mellon, ABN AMRO and Novobanco. The company raised a USD 175m Series F in March 2025 led by Teachers’ Venture Growth at a USD 2.6bn valuation, bringing total funding to just under USD 550m, and employs around 800 people across 16 offices.
