Socra AI is a South Korean education technology company based in Seoul, known until September 2025 as Riiid, maker of the AI tutoring engine behind the exam-prep app Santa. Since 2018 the underlying AI has analysed learner response data to predict exam scores and personalise practice, and the company licenses this technology to education businesses and testing organisations rather than only selling directly to students.

Under the Socra AI name, the company keeps its Santa TOEIC/TOEFL learning products alongside newer offerings such as Real Academy and Real Speaking, and licenses its adaptive-learning engine to partner organisations, including a content partnership with testing body ETS on a TOEFL preparation app. Customers are language schools, publishers and exam-prep businesses that embed Socra’s AI engine into their own learning products.
