1. Technology overview
Taulia is a working capital management vendor founded in 2009 and headquartered in San Francisco. SAP completed the acquisition of a majority stake in March 2022 and Taulia continues to trade under its own brand inside the SAP group. Its platform lets large buyers pay suppliers early and lets banks and institutional investors deploy capital against approved invoices, so the funding decision rests on the buyer’s credit rather than the supplier’s.
The product set covers supply chain finance, where third-party funders pay suppliers early; dynamic discounting, where the buyer’s own cash funds early payment in exchange for a discount; virtual cards; and payables, receivables and inventory management, with pre-built integration into SAP ERP and SAP S/4HANA as well as standalone deployment. Taulia reports around US$500bn of trade accessible for financing, US$40bn funded in 2024 and suppliers paid on average 48.7 days early. Named customers include Airbus, T-Mobile, Nissan, AstraZeneca, Saudi Aramco and Red Bull; platform regions cover the EU, North America and the Middle East.
