1. Technology overview
TraceVerified is a Vietnamese electronic traceability company founded in 2011 in Ho Chi Minh City with initial support from Denmark’s Global Competitiveness Facility. It addresses the disconnect between smallholder farmers, processors and export buyers, where paper-based origin records make it difficult to prove food safety compliance and build consumer trust in agricultural and seafood products.
The company sells three connected products: TraceChain, a supply chain data infrastructure that standardises and links records across fragmented producer, processor and distributor systems; TraceFarm, farm management software for crop and livestock producers; and TracePig, a dedicated management tool for pig farming operations. Customers include seafood processors Nha Trang Seafood and Cafatex, and the company has run traceability projects in Vietnam, Cambodia, Australia and Nepal with partners such as UNIDO, Griffith University and SNV Netherlands.
