1. Technology overview
Triac Composites is a Vietnamese advanced composites manufacturer founded in 2014 in Ho Chi Minh City, established as the production arm of Rapido Trimarans to build carbon-fiber sailing multihulls and to supply composite engineering services to marine, industrial, and architectural clients worldwide, addressing the shortage of high-precision composite fabrication capacity in Southeast Asia.
The company’s plant on the Long Thoi peninsula employs prepreg carbon-fiber lay-up, autoclave curing, and robotic trimming to produce structural components, foils, masts, molds, and train-interior and mining-equipment parts to specification; about 100 Vietnamese technicians work alongside veteran composite engineers, and finished parts ship to boatbuilders and industrial customers in Australia, the United States, and Vietnam.
2. Highlighted features & specifications
1. Prepreg lay-up: uses aerospace-grade prepreg carbon fiber for high strength-to-weight components.
2. Autoclave curing: in-house autoclaves ensure consistent resin content and low porosity.
3. Robotic trimming: CNC and robotic finishing deliver tight dimensional tolerances.
4. Custom tooling: builds composite plugs and molds for one-off and series production.
5. Multi-sector output: supplies marine, mining, rail, and architectural facade parts.
6. Skilled workforce: about 100 Vietnamese technicians trained under 40+ years of composite know-how.
