1. Technology overview
VertZero is a carbon-accounting technology company co-founded in October 2023, operating from offices in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City with a head office in Tokyo, built on Japanese GHG-accounting technology adapted for the Vietnamese and Southeast Asian market. It was created to give local enterprises facing new greenhouse-gas inventory and CBAM-related export requirements an automated alternative to manual spreadsheet reporting.
The VertZero platform automates Scope 1, 2 and 3 greenhouse-gas inventories, generates Marginal Abatement Cost Curve analysis to prioritize reduction projects, and produces disclosures aligned with the GHG Protocol and Vietnamese regulations under Decree 06/2022 and Circular 17/2022. It is used by organizations across energy, logistics and manufacturing, including FPT, EVN HCMC and Petrolimex.
