1. Technology overview
XAG is an agricultural drone and robotics company founded in 2007 in Guangzhou, China, by Peng Bin and Justin Gong, originally as XAircraft before rebranding to XAG in 2014. It builds unmanned aircraft and ground robots that let farms and agribusinesses spray, seed and fertilize fields without the labor-intensive manual methods still common across Asian smallholder agriculture.
Its product line includes the P-series spray drones, such as P60, P100 Pro and P150, which apply pesticide, spread fertilizer and sow seed through autonomous flight controlled from a phone. Customers are farmers, agribusinesses and drone-service operators; XAG states its equipment has operated across more than 70 countries and cumulatively served over 96.7 million hectares, and in 2025-2026 it expanded use among durian, banana and rice growers in Vietnam’s Mekong Delta.
