1. Technology overview
SePay Joint Stock Company is a Vietnamese Open Banking infrastructure provider registered in Ho Chi Minh City in June 2023 and built by the team behind hosting provider 123HOST. It targets the manual work Vietnamese finance teams spend watching internet banking screens, reconciling statements in Excel and issuing invoices by hand.
SePay signs direct Open Banking agreements with each bank rather than scraping, then exposes transaction data through APIs and webhooks that fire the moment money arrives. The product set covers virtual accounts issued per customer or per order, a VietQR and NAPAS VietQRPay payment gateway, international card acceptance, eInvoice, eShop, and Bank Hub for software vendors that embed banking for their own clients. Twelve banks are connected under official partnerships, including Vietcombank (2 June 2026), Sacombank (14 February 2026), BIDV, VietinBank, MB, ACB, VPBank and TPBank. SePay reports more than 66,000 business and individual users, over 150,000 transactions a day, and ISO 27001 certification.
