1. Technology overview
Connect Earth is a London-based climate fintech founded in 2021 that supplies emissions and ESG data to financial institutions through an API-first platform. Its original product estimates the carbon footprint of individual financial transactions, letting retail and business banks display spending-level environmental impact inside their own apps without building emissions models themselves.
Following the September 2025 acquisition of Stockholm-based ESG reporting platform Datia, the platform now spans two areas: carbon measurement and customer insights, and regulatory compliance and reporting aligned to SFDR, PAI, EET, CSRD, MiFID II and EU Taxonomy requirements. Institutions can consume it as a standalone SaaS reporting platform, an SDK and component library, or raw APIs for custom integration, covering retail banking, business banking, asset management, wealth advisory and fintech platforms.
